- I am not on a diet (in the way most people would understand the term)
- I don't have to weigh and measure anything (I often choose to, though)
- I am never hungry
- I don't deprive myself of ANYTHING
- There is always PLENTY that I can eat
- I have eaten out at least once a week since I started
- I eat much bigger meals than I did before I started this plan
- This is a change of lifestyle not a temporary fix
Yes, occasionally, I struggle. Sometimes I don't follow the plan properly and that's usually when I'm extremely busy and feeling stressed but it's my responsibility to eat with awareness and I know the consequences if I don't.
If you tune into this blog because you want to find out the secret to weight loss and the Slimming World plan then you won't have to read far because I can tell you.
It's joining the group for yourself!
I could tell you what to eat and what proportions etc. but it's the support of other, like-minded individuals, including the group leader, who see me through from week to week.
Weight loss is as much a psychological thing for me as it is physical. Yes, I put the food into my mouth at the end of the day and I've lost track of the number of times I've heard people from all walks of life say that losing weight is about eating less and doing more exercise. Well, I can tell you straight, yes, exercise is key but so is eating MORE but of the right kinds of things. I eat unlimited potato, rice, pasta, eggs and lean meat ... so, how's that for a start eh?!
I don't intend to advertise here - I know that one size does not fit all - but I have found what suits me and I'd like to chronicle the rest of my journey to 'Slimdom' not only to help me through the tough times but to help others, too, who may happen to come across my humble blog!
Toodle-pip, till next time!
